October part II

It's been a very busy month. Aiden got to visit with Becky/Sam/Claire and all little ones had a fun time together. Aiden helped daddy celebrate his birthday and was mesmerized by the candle flame. Kim visited from LA and we all visited the pumpkin patch and the mini hay bale maze.

We took Aiden over to Jay and Allison's neighborhood for some Halloween fun, he got to hand out some candy and even strolled around (albeit asleep) to see the trick or treaters. We dressed him up in a couple of outfits and too adorable. He and Leo the dog had on matching outfits.

October part 1

It's been a fun filled month. We kicked it off with a trip to Tahoe with Jordan/Mimi/Pops everyone got their fill of the little guy and we even got to experience the Salmon festival and watched them running in the river. Mommy has settled into a nice daily routine with Aiden which consists of lots of singing, reading and visiting with friends. Aiden's been doing a great job of sleeping through most nights - he's discovered his fingers and loves to suck on them as a calming device which we at first tried to stop but soon realized that anything that stops them from crying is a good thing to keep hold of. He's started cooing much more frequently and is really starting to take on his own personality which is quite fun to observe.

Now that the weather has turned a bit colder we've been introducing Aiden to socks, he hasn't quite taken a liking to them yet and actually prefers kicking them off to actually wearing. It was a special month because the Giants made the playoffs so we spent many a night with Aiden dressed in Giants garb cheering on the team - had to keep the sudden cheering outbursts to a minimum to limit the startle factor. Jen took Aiden on his first ferry ride into the city to meet her coworkers and have lunch with PoPo.

We've introduced Aiden to the Bumbo seat and so far he's pretty into it, at least for about two minutes and then it's time to move on - it's a start though.

September

September came and went all too fast. Happy second month birthday Aiden. Aiden has grown quite a liking to the mobile in his crib and that's become a staple of his morning routine to have a few rounds of the animals and sounds - he loves to kick his legs and swing his arms for this play time. We've exposed Aiden to the little jumpy thing - some days he's into it and other days not so much - it's still a bit early to have him jumping for extended periods of time so we'll give him a bit to warm up to it - afterall his feet barely touch the floor. He's been spending more and more time sitting up and standing while supported and sometimes this even works as a calming technique which was quite nice to discover. Jen had a girls afternoon at the house for all to meet Aiden and needless to say he put on his full charm. We decided to check his height at one point and it's nice to see the Veuve Clicquot is just at arm resting height. Aiden's smiling more and more now and we love it each and every time!

Wrapping up August

Another fun month. Aiden had some visitors - Shondra and Callum, Angeline and Koon. Aiden has grown a real liking for his swing, takes all of about 30 seconds of swinging and he's passed out - quite a god send for us parents looking to get a little resting. We celebrated Jen's birthday as a new family and Aiden loved the new flame from the candle.
